Remote access between your own computers is complete, and server mode arrives with it

Pair another computer by QR code or a one-time code, then show and drive its chats from Settings or the command line, directly or through a relay that reports how much of it you use. The daemon can also run as a per-user service so a machine keeps serving after the app is closed.

Server mode for the background service
The daemon can now be registered as a per-user service on macOS, Linux and Windows, so a computer keeps serving its chats when no app is open. Install, uninstall, start, stop, restart, check the status and read the logs from the command line; status only reads and never starts anything. (#1167)
Images and clear refusals in remote chats
You can send images to a chat running on another computer, from the desktop app or the command line, and an upload that was interrupted resumes instead of starting over. When the host turns a request down, the reason stays in the chat as a failed row with a next step rather than a bare code. A computer you rename appears under its new name without pairing again. (#1168)
New
Relay usage shown as a percentage
Settings, on the Devices page, and the remote status command now show how much of this month's relay allowance the account has used. At the limit the note says the limit is reached and that direct connections still work. (#1172)
Improved
The ACP agent introduces itself as AI Game Dev
The gamedev acp command now reports the name AI Game Dev during setup, in the sign-in log line and in the auth prompt. Its icon is redrawn on a standard 16 by 16 grid so clients that mishandle offset view boxes render it the same as the rest. (#1166)
Fixed
Readable remote errors and safer command help
Connection failures and refused pairings are now described in words instead of internal reason codes. Asking for help on the remote and daemon commands prints usage instead of being taken as an argument, so a help flag can no longer install a service by accident. (#1171)
Remote connections keep working late in a session
Every new connection now fetches fresh relay credentials, so a link started hours after the app did no longer dies when the old ones expire. Credentials are also scoped to the device, and a connection with little time left dials anew rather than restarting on stale ones. (#1173)
Reloading the desktop app releases remote chats
A reloaded or crashed window now closes the chat streams it held on other computers, so those machines stop showing this one as watching. Retrying a prepared message after a lost reply attaches the images once, so a resend never duplicates a message. (#1174)
Fixes from cross-machine testing
A crashed remote session no longer blocks every chat on that computer, and a host that runs only the command line can list, open and start chats for other devices. Large images now arrive intact. (#1175)
Installed services keep the settings they were installed with
A background service started by the operating system now uses the server, credential store and folders recorded when it was installed, instead of whatever environment it inherits at launch. (#1176)
Removed computers, crash screens and a macOS network prompt
A computer you removed from your devices now says so and stops reconnecting instead of showing a link that never comes up, with the choice to pair again or forget it. A window that keeps crashing shows a screen with a Reload button, and macOS asks for Local Network permission with a warning that explains what it is for. (#1179)
The tool-change notice gets out of the way
After a tool is switched on or off in a session, a short line shows only the new change, disappears by itself, and no longer sits in front of the chat as a dead control. A change that is still running stays visible until it settles. (#1181)
Downloads keep moving when the system clock changes
Progress reporting now uses a monotonic clock, so a system clock that steps backwards no longer freezes downloads and package installs. The session coordinator's idle timing uses the same clock. (#1183)
Terms and Privacy open the right pages
The Terms of Service and Privacy Policy links in the app now open their pages on the new ai-game.dev/legal addresses. (#1186)
